What happened when I changed my diet: Self-love, a foodie journal

I have always struggled with my weight, it always fluctuated. I have always loved sweets, I used to think I might turn into a little debbie snack as much as I ate them. So when I decided that it was time to change some things about my diet it wasn't the easiest thing for me to do. But not long after I made the change, I started noticing a lot of significant differences in my body and it's functions.
My period changed.
The most drastic change I noticed once I changed my diet, was my period changed tremendously. It went from 8 long heavy days full of clotting, to 4 days of light to heavy bleeding with barely no clotting at all.
2. My congestion disappeared.
I have been congested my entire life. I recall my stepmom telling me as a kid, "Go wipe your nose, I know you feel that!" I went to the Dr. in March of 2020 for a sinus issue because my boyfriend was concerned. He said it sounded like I couldn't breathe in my sleep. My Dr. gave me antibiotics that were supposed to clear up the congestion but it didn't work. I did some research on mucus causing foods and decided to removed them from my diet and see what happened. I removed dairy including eggs and in as little as two weeks, I was breathing better than I ever have in my life. After that I removed chicken (I had already gave up pork and red meat.)
3. I lost weight without being active.
I lost 17 pounds during quarantine just from switching my foods, I don't go anywhere except walking my dog.
4. My skin changed.
I struggle with my skin even still but it got better once i removed dairy from my diet and consumed more water and less juice.
5. My cravings changed.
I started craving the plant based alternatives to my favorite foods and I naturally desired vegetables.
6. I stopped desiring certain foods.
I actually became repulsed by the smell of beef and the look of eggs. Something I had just given up a month earlier, made my stomach turn when I seen it.
7. I became more productive.
I am not sure what this has to do with food directly, but it is something that happened. My head was more clear, I wasn't as tired as I wasn't weighed down by the inflammation of certain foods in my system.
I am learning daily, that eating differently doesn't have to be a bad thing, you can still eat good and it be healthy. The goal, is to eat to live, not live to eat.
