Who am I?

My name is Saunya "Starr" J, a Pittsburgh, PA native, living In Raleigh, NC. I have always loved and been passionate about health and wellness, being a former athlete and dancer throughout highschool and college. Fully Loving Yourself is a dream that was given to me in 2016 when I began my quest of sharing health education in low income communities.

After going to college to study Sociology & Psychology, I thought I'd go on to be a clinical therapist, but I learned I wasn't passionate about that upon graduating. I decided to embark on a self awareness journey in 2016 that took me away from home, to Arizona, then to NC, and in that process, I learned much about breaking open to achieve self actualization and freedom. However, while on that journey, in 2020, I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids at the age of 29.

Unmarried. No children. & I was being told I needed to hurry and do both because now, my chances were slim or nonexistent.

I spent the next few years learning everything I could about holistic living, plant based food, herbal treatments, going to therapy and spiritual coaching and in 2023, I finally began to see real results in my healing journey. 

​

Fully Loving Yourself's identity shifted when I was inspired to share my self care & healing journey. I decided to share my  journey online with other women, who may have been afraid that they were alone in their battle, and thinking they had no other options besides surgery & birth control. Since then, hundreds of women have connected with me to let me know that they have been inspired to give their life a real try and to not give up.

My mission and purpose is to educate WOC in low income communities and their allies/supporters on the benefits of a holistic wellness and self care journey through plant based living and self actualization. Let's journey together.
